I don’t think I know or have ever heard of Black people, rich or poor adopting White children, or any other kind of children for that matter, unless the child was left with them for some reason as happens in poorer neighborhoods at times. You know, a mom is so cracked, methed, iced, whatever out she just goes missing and boom! That kid you were just babysitting now calls you “mom” and because you know a kid is almost better off dead than ending up in the foster care system you decide to take on the responsibility yourself. Of course this happens with poor Whites too and in poor neighborhoods in general.

But for some reason, I see a never-ending parade of well-to-do Whites adopting Black, Asian, etc. children. Why? This boggles the mind. I could understand them wanting to help “needy children” and all, but considering that, since there are more White people in this country than any other “racial” group, there are more *poor* White children in this country who need adopting…and poor people in general of all “races” here that need a home. So why are so many White folks importing foreign kids like new kinds of beer? I just don’t get it. Folks can do what they want, but I think if Black people were adopting White and Asian kids at this rate it would be all over Fox News. It does make me wonder though, if adoption agencies tend to offer White folks more options of children from all over the world to adopt, and offer Black couples seeking to adopt only Black children as options.
