i’ve noticed this, and i’ve thought it was strange too. it wouldn’t surprise me if these invisible “friends” were bots accessing info. but i don’t know for sure. it’s just a theory i have. it *is” strange though for sure.

Has anybody noticed that you have an extra “friend” that shows up among your facebook friends, but he/she is invisible? I normally have about 319 friends but every so often, it could be several times a day, I have 320 friends. However, I cannot account for this additional friend. I have a sneaky suspicion that it is facebook itself, spying on me. And yes, I have gotten the “you’re going too fast” message from fb, but that was about 2 years ago.

omg, going too fast in a comment? lol, what will facebook think of next? someone with the money and know-how could totally start something new and pwn the heck outta FB. and i’d join it in a heartbeat.

totally. the way Facebook mysteriously dictates who can have how many friends is ridiculous. we need to find a way to make Facebook accountable–or at least more fair in the way they handle these blocks. after all there’d be no Facebook without, well, faces, lol.

I am a licensed home childcare provider and use facebook to network with other providers. This was suppose to be a social networking site! We share ideas with each other and see whats happening in their neck of the woods. I look at some of their pages that have 1000s of friends. I have all of about 158 and I get blocked!!! For networking with people who I share a common interest with. This does not make sense to me. Facebook needs to come up with a better way or at the very least provide a more detailed explanation of some people get blocked and allow them to defend theirselves.

presumptuous much, facebook? facebook is far from the days of it being just a tool for keeping up with friends and family.

if that were the case no one would have over 200 friends. i don’t understand their reasoning. “social networking” does mean that, not “family networking”, cuz if we wanted to do that everyone would just post updates on Ancestry.com or other on personal websites lol.

hope they get it together soon — in my mind they should want people to make as many connections as possible, hence the true nature of “social” networking.
