May 1st, 2011 saw President Barack Obama deliver a televised message from the White House that shocked and elated the nation: the American government has tracked down and killed Osama bin Laden.
America's most wanted. Time, October 2001
But something’s not quite right about the government’s official story.
Every part of it seems to be playing out like some hastily scripted made-for-TV movie. And as more convenient “facts” are released every day about the bin Laden killing, many of these “facts” are turning into fiction.

Caktuz is an up and coming emcee and musician from North Carolina. If you’ve never heard of Caktuz that may soon be remedied by I Am, a documentary coming out about his life, career and lyrical philosophy, part of which he spits in the clip below.
The words he speaks are ones I know all real emcees can relate to. And if you don’t relate, I’d rethink calling yourself an emcee.
Caktuz, a Brooklyn, NY based artist and activist who calls High Point, NC home, is also blessed with phenomenal ink skills and has done more flyers, mixtape covers and magazine layouts than Buffy Da Body can shake her azz at.
Caktuz will be on tour in May, lending part of his stage and public appearance time to advocating on behalf of I Am Now Inc. Homeless Triad-Teens Initiative.
…for some print and web outlets. Can you believe that when I’m grinding the hardest, I don’t listen to any music? True. So this week I haven’t listened to anything at all. That’s how hard I’m working, lol! I probably won’t post any entries this week either.
Over the next few weeks there will be some changes to this blog that I believe will benefit this blog and its readers. I will definitely keep you posted as these changes happen, thanks for understanding!
Sometimes when life gets me down, all I want to do is dance. Know that sounds like a Just Dance commercial or something but tis true. When I get the blues mah bootay gets the boogie!
This mixtape is one that I’ll put on sometimes when I’m in this mood. It features Kenny Dope and Louie Vega on the wheels, collectively known as Masters at Work.
I shouldn’t have to explain who these two are if you’re a serious fan of house music–or a house DJ. But if you’re unfamiliar, then it’s time to get familiar!
This mix was recorded live at the Winter Music Conference in 2003 at a Masters at Work party called “Soul Heaven” and broadcast live on BBC 1XTRA, and features classic house, R&B and soul music, all mixed together for over three hours of songs to get your life to!
Material on this mix ranges from the 70′s to the 90s, and features artists like Stevie Wonder, Gil Scott-Heron, Evelyn Champagne King, Diana Ross and classic house tunes like “Deep Inside,” First Choice’s “(It’s A) Love Thang” (sampled on Chubb Rock’s “Treat Em Right“) and many, many more songs. Like three hours more, lol. Continue reading...
